Oh Hello you Lovely Thang...

The pop up shop was an ultimate success (If "ultimate success" makes you think of 90's or rollerblading, wrong type of "ultimate")! Let's just say boys wearing bow ties, girls in bows, new and old goodies for all, and the wine flowed like water (more then water). Thanks everyone.

Guess what came in the mail today?

Well hello cherished parcel number two! The Elephant and the Bad Baby, by Elfrida Vipont illustrated by Raymond Briggs. A childhood favorite about an elephant with a bad case of thievery (sticky trunk?) and an impolite baby. If that description doesn't having you drooling for more, just note there is a chorus throughout the book that goes a little like this "and the elephant and the baby go rumpeta rumpeta rumpeta, all down the road."

Yesterday I entered a wedding blog contest...why not? The folks at Eplove photography ( http://epblog.net/) have generously offered to contribute 8 lucky hours (yes lucky) of free photography to one lucky couple (very lucky). Above is what I submitted, inspiration photos, and one hand drawn storyboard (the criteria for the contest). I was hoping my cheesy pun photo titles might intrigued them as to how fun 8 hours could be (or horrible- who knows). Anyways, fingers crossed, four leaf clover in pocket, no black cats, or ladders please!

I frickin' love you... yes you

Guess what came in the mail today?

On a recent train ride, I took advantage of modern technology and used my phone to order my favorite childhood books. I know what your thinking: this sounds like an odd feat... I say call me crazy or even cooky if you must. When I'm receiving anticipated parcels filled with childhood treasures I'll say "who's the cooky one now?" (Of course it will be me, because I will be saying that to myself)... You win this round WORLD! In the mean time: PIERRE a cautionary tale IN FIVE CHAPTERS AND A PROLOGUE by MAURICE SENDAK.
