I am the proud new owner of a "Naive Melody/ Slippery People" 45rpm record. The best part, it's the live version (listen here). Listen to this song enough, and you'll wish you had an oversized blazer to tromp around in (and I'm not talking about the Portland TrailBlazers).
I was pleased as punch, when Ashley of MILK TEETHSagreed to grace Bedazzled Tuesday, and was particularly fond of her prized unicorn brooch she shared(can you believe she purchased this baby for 99 cents?... talk about lucky duck). Ashley is a fashion blogger living in Orange County, CA. The girl is cute as a button, with good taste through the roof, quirky style, and plenty of vintage gems in the mix. She also is the mastermind behind MIlK TEETHS Vintage the Etsy shop. Go on now, take a peek.
I just heard the tail end of a story on NPR about a documentary called Searching for Sugar Man, which is about rediscovering the musician Sixto Rodriguez. I love his story, a few tours here and there (not too famous), meanwhile he is frickin' legand (unknown to himself) in South Africa... years later, his music was sought out, and people wanted more more more... and BOOM.... you're star (that's the short short, heard the tail end of the radio version of his story). Who wants to watch the documentary with me, and get the truth? By the way, this song is so lovely, i've been listening it non stop all afternoon.
I am the proud new owner of a Shuggie Otis "Inspiration Information" 45rpm record. Do you know this song? Get to know it well (I'm talking favorite food, favorite color, first crush etc.) because after you meet, you'll want to spend some serious time together (aka listening to this all the live long day). Do note that perfect purple record, can a gal complain? No, not one bit!
I am the proud new owner of an "I can't go for that (no can do)" 45rpm record. Just look at this cover, incredible right? I can go for their outfits, that's for sure!
